According to a study carried out by the consultant DBK, in the year 2011 the sales increased at the leisure´s sector in Spain a 4% because of visits from foreign clients.

The sales of leisure sector in Spain increased a 4% in 2011, it reached 555 mill € thanks to 32,2 millions of visits who enjoyed the weather in the last year, specially customer foreigner, because of a study ‘’ Leisure park’s sector’’ published by the consultant DBK.

The best evolution was produced in themes parks with a invoicing of 172m mill € in 2011. The number of visit increased a 13, 3% until 6, 8 millions of Euros.

On the other hand, the water parks reached a turnover of 131 millions of Euros, a 3, 1% more than the year 2010, they benefiting from the high temperatures registered in the summer season. In addition, the turnover generated by the zoos, aquariums and nature´s parks increased a 3, 5% in 2011 until 207 millions of Euros.

Theme park sector was the only which reduced his turnover around 45 mill of Euros, a 2, 2% less than last year.

According to the study’s DBK, the worsening of economic situation and weakening of touristic international let anticipate moderate decline the number of visits to the whole theme parks.

However, the turnover of companies is estimated an increase 0,5% in 2012. For the year 2013 hope a growth around 1, 5% and it´s permitted to reach a 570 mill of Euros.

GOODS NEWS FOR THEMES PARKS.

The sector of theme parks will have again the best evolution, due to the attraction was opened in the mains parks at present. The turnover will increase around 3% in 2012, with a 175 millions of Euros.

In May of 2012 were worked in Spain 129 leisure´s parks, almost 71 leusirues´s park was zoo including aquariums and nature´s parks, 47 water parks, 6 theme parks and 5 attraction parks.

In 2011, the 5 principal companies of sector gathered a joint share of 73,4% which was elevated until 83,4€ when the rest of companies were added.
